Anne Porter Knight Frank take top prize in international competition
Posted: 14th October 2010
Anne Porter Knight Frank, the Cape Peninsula estate agency with their head office in Claremont and branch offices in Camps Bay, Sea Point and Hout Bay, have been awarded a prize for the best real estate agency in South Africa.
The award was made at a recent gala dinner at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel in London. The competition was organised by the International Homes Luxury Collection magazine and sponsored by Bloomberg Television, in association with four secondary sponsors (Google, the New York Times, Kohlers and the International Herald Tribune). Six media partners and 13 independent supporting organisations contributed to the organisation of the competition.
Lanice Steward, MD of Anne Porter Knight Frank, said that the competition increases in popularity every year and now embraces developments and companies in over 20 European countries. New participants in the European division this year were Norway and Latvia. In Africa nine countries, including some of the Indian Ocean and the Cape Verde islands, had participated.
A wide variety of awards were made in each country for everything from websites to architectural and interior designs, for golf, leisure and hospitality resorts, but in a few cases where no suitable entry was identified no award was made.
In the real estate competition, said Steward, the judges had looked for evidence of a truly service oriented ethos and culture, integrity, good documentation and support systems, the ongoing management involvement and dedication and an all round efficiency. APKF compiled a comprehensive presentation of almost 100 pages which encapsulated evidence of performance in all of the above categories.
"By emerging as the top estate agency in Africa," she said, "we have, I think, justified a claim that we make service and customer satisfaction our main goals, knowing that growth and profits will automatically follow."
