Reins Private Nature Reserve
Reins Private Nature Reserve is committed to the preservation of South Africa’s natural assets. The reserve comprises over 2400 hectares of well preserved Coastal Fynbos with 5 kilometres of stunningly beautiful private coastline.
Game indigenous to the area, including eland and zebra has been introduced to the Reserve. The reserve has well preserved coastal dunes with the highest point being Buffelskop which is 212 metres above sea level.
The property has been developed as a conference venue with accommodation for 150 people. The attractive bungalows are positioned to ensure privacy and seclusion and maximise the views. Additional facilities include a swimming pool, tennis court, private chapel, a restaurant in addition to conference catering facilities and private slipway. The access to the property is via 6 kilometres of tarred road and the infrastructure is well developed. There are valid planning rights to develop a total of 50 units inclusive of the existing buildings.
The property is located 360 kilometres from Cape Town and 40 kilometres from Mossel Bay. The nearest airport is at George which is an hour’s drive away. The picturesque village of Gourtizmond is easily accessible. The Bridge over the Gouritz River on the N2 road is world famous for its bungee jumping facility. The Ystervark Punt lighthouse (SA National Ports) is located on the property.
