Camps Bay property lies behind Table Mountain, nestled below the slopes of the 12 Apostles sweeping down to the mighty Atlantic Ocean, with its stunning blue flag white sandy beaches. Victoria Road, which runs along the entire length of the beach front, was only completed in the late 1800's. In 1855 a prominent land owner thought Camps Bay had the potential to be developed. 40 Plots were put up for sale but it was not until 1863 they were finally sold, even the rumour of gold in Camps Bay did not encourage people to buy.
